For this exercise I used paint on paper rather than digital work. For the first “warm color” project I wanted to see how birch trees would look like on the warm background. On paintings I usually see here, birch trees are painted on ‘cold’ background so I wanted to experiment.
For the ‘muted colors’ painting I tried to select dark and light and connect them with a neutral color. The yellowish seems to be fairly light and does not have enough power to allow the white to stand out. Maybe a few streaks of orange would help.
The final picture is also abstract, and this time I put dots of colors on paper and just spread them with a brush. Then I took a plastic wrap dipped in orange color and make the first ‘path’ and did the same with yellow to emphasize bright colors.
