Hi everyone!

I’m Joel Sturm. I’ve been in Fairbanks my whole life, and I’ve been a student at UAF for a few years now. I work at CTC in the drafting program maintaining and operating their 3D printers. I am taking this course with the intention of putting it towards a degree in Design once the Drafting Technology department switches over to the Design department.

I’ve taken several classes in the art department, but none of them have focused on color very much, so I’m really excited to learn more about it. I am fascinated with visual perception, and the biology and psychology of seeing things. The stuff that goes on behind the scene in our heads to give us a constant, consistent visual reel of information can be altered in so many ways, and color is one of the tools I would love gain mastery over.
